Every job is different from the other and requires different level of skillset. Although some companies
hire freelancers online that are still new to the field, it is best that you present your best skills. Present
your skills and expertise by adding your experience and portfolio projects to your account. Your portfolio
is the best approach to describe your experience in the work you have done and how you can benefit
the company that aims to hire you.

You need at least 3 portfolio projects to add in your profile to showcase your skills. For example, if you
have the skills of a graphic designer, you will need to add 3 portfolio projects of graphic designing on
your profile, to showcase your graphic design skills. This will show the clients who want to hire freelance
graphic designers, how you can benefit them.
If your skills are not presented to the clients, you will have less chance to secure a job.

To know how much you should charge for your freelance services, you need to consider a few factors
before coming up with a quotation. Here are some factors to keep in mind:

    Your Value:
Being a freelancer means you have the privilege to determine your service value and put the right price
on it. Consider your experience, skillset and the quality of service you can offer your clients. Analyze
yourself whether you are expert at what you do and can offer, whether you know all the core and
specifics of the work you do. All these factors determine the value of your skillset and give you a clear
mind of how to put your service price accordingly.

    Your Operating Costs:
Unlike full-time employees, freelancers do not have fixed payment system. So you have to decide what
the cost value of you service will be that can overcome any potential budget constraints. As a freelancer,
you will have to cover insurance, benefits, and maintenance of your work system, like the internet
connection or the hardware and the IT setup you work on. Sometimes you will also have to bear the
costs of learning new skills if it is required for your job. So keeping all these things in mind, you should
calculate the average and put a price to your freelance services accordingly.

    The Market Rate:
The market rate in a freelance marketplace is a crucial factor to take into consideration while choosing
your service cost. You do now want to put a very high price than other freelancers as this can cause your
clients to get services from other freelancers who cost comparatively less for the same service as yours.
Similarly, you should not put a price too low from competitors that degrades your work value and do not
offer the rightful earning of your hard work. So it is better to do a research of the market place and
determine what other competitors are averagely charging for the services or what will be the hiring
salary for jobs that you easily qualify for.

After finding a job according to your skillset, you can contact with the client in your inbox.
Simply click on the client you want to chat with to open the conversation icon, then select “Open this
    chat in your inbox.”
Please note that sent messages cannot be unsent or removed from the recipient’s inbox or chat window.
Additionally, if a user has blocked you, you will not be able to message them.

You want potential clients to discover and reach out to you, instead of you having to actively search for
them. How can you increase your visibility in the marketplace for freelancers? Here are some

Create a portfolio of your work
A good portfolio material is a great way to attract clients since they give you the chance to feature
    yourself at your most creative.

    Create a compelling elevator pitch

When queried about your profession, be ready to have a concise and impactful reply. Your pitch should
reflect your identity, your work, and what sets you apart from the competitors.

    Network online

Use online platforms to showcase your expertise and helpfulness. This not only strengthens connections
with fellow freelancers who may refer clients to you but also attracts potential clients who are actively
searching for freelancers on these platforms.

    Collect testimonials from clients

Once you have successfully worked with a client, don’t forget to collect a positive review of their
experience working with you. By adding a client testimonial to your website, prospective clients will be
confident in choosing you for the job.
